Za trzy dni Boże Narodzenie, zatem życzę wszystkim radosnych świąt i wszystkiego dobrego, a na nadchodzący, 2015 rok nowych wyzwań, pozytywnych emocji i wrażliwości. Patrząc na nową akcję ULTRAMARATON za POMOC, życzę jej twórcom fantazji i dowcipu – przynajmniej do czerwca oraz żelaznej kondycji w dniu startu.
Ostatnio napisałem list otwarty z okazji Międzynarodowego Dnia Wolontariusza, a w nim takie słowa:
śmiało można powiedzieć, że to Wy jesteście reprezentantami najwyższych wartości jak poświęcenie oraz wyrzeczenie. Swój wolny czas poświęcacie dla osób, których często nie znacie. To wyjątkowe – szczególnie, że tuż obok toczy się walka pod wielkimi sztandarami „należy ci się, „musisz mieć” – tak jakby ludzkość zawracała do czasów, w których nie były wykształcone złożone społeczności i każdy dbał wyłącznie o siebie.
Andrzeju, Tomku nie stanęliście z wyciągniętą ręką, prowadzicie akcję, w której ofiarowujecie swój wysiłek, poświęcacie czas a prosicie dla innych – tych najsłabszych. Do tego pokazujecie, że można się przy tym dobrze bawić – to bardzo ważne. Kibicują Wam setki osób, którym odwdzięczacie się ciekawą i wesołą opowieścią, także prawdziwą emocją. Na końcu staniecie jednak na starcie bardzo trudnego biegu – życzę Wam wytrwałości, przez najbliższe sześć miesięcy, a potem dobrej pogody i szczęścia.
Zapraszam wszystkich do wsparcia tej akcji, ja już swój „bilet” zarezerwowałem i kibicuję czując się w pełni uczestnikiem tego niesamowitego biegu.

Christmas Greetings

Aleksander Tarnowski – President of the Polish Association of the Knights of Malta.
Christmas is only three days away, thus I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the upcoming year of 2015, a year of new challenges, positive emotions and sensitivity. Observing the new campaign ULTRAMARATHON for HELP, I wish its creators imagination and a sense of humour – at least until June, as well as top physical condition and on the day of their competition.
I recently wrote an open letter on the occasion of International Volunteer Day and in it, these words:
We can boldly say that you are the representatives of the highest values such as sacrifice and dedication. You are sacrificing your free time for people you often do not know. This is exceptional – especially as, right alongside, the battle is being fought under the banners of “you owe me”, “I have to have” – as if humanity were returning to the days before educated, sophisticated society when everyone cared only for themselves.
Andrzej, Tomek, you have stood up and reached out, you are leading a campaign in which you offer your efforts, give up your time and plead in the name of others – those most vulnerable. Furthermore you are showing us that it is possible to have a good time doing so – that is very important. Hundreds of people are here rooting for you, whom you are repaying with an interesting and merry story, as well as authentic emotion. In the end, however, you will stand at the start of a very difficult run – I wish you endurance, for the coming six months, and then good luck and good weather.
I invite everyone to support this campaign, I have already booked my “ticket” and am cheering and feeling every bit a participant in this amazing run.

Greetings from the Dun Teddy Bear Settlement
I think we all feel that love is the most beautiful adventure in life. It can pour into many days and people that we meet. And even though it is different to everyone, it convinces everybody with its goodness, that they are unique. Love is the greatest miracle of our life because it so happens that God loves too. And an important fruit of his love is humanity, which accepts Jesus Christ in human form born in Bethlehem.
A secret, a miracle, incredible joy – I am unique, the only one of me in the entire universe. To me reality is everything that is good and beautiful, unique and common. In love unique does not mean lonely. In love we do not run from one another, we do not curse or exclude each other. To the contrary, we search for one another, we forgive one another and we spend time with one another. In the wealth of our everyday lives, we enjoy being together.
At Christmas we find out that each of us is unique but during this most mysterious time we can take for ourselves a part of the face and heart of God. Each of our close loved ones, each person we meet, we can tell with deep conviction in our hearts, that they are unique to us.
Dear Friends, we wish you, with all of our hearts, to never stop believing in love – the greatest adventure in the human existence. And for us all, in this incredible brotherly bond that is borne of love, to not hold grudges against one another in our hearts, to always be able to forgive and show one another gratitude for the fact that God allowed us to meet. We know true love from its fruit, so may there be much joy, peace and laughter among you this Christmas.
